Resource Guide to Wraparound

Mission

The wraparound process is a widely-implemented approach to community-based treatment for children with emotional and behavioral disorders and their families. However, despite a history of practice innovations nationwide, the absence of standards and fully described practice procedures has frustrated providers and hindered development of a wraparound research base. The National Wraparound Initiative is an attempt to engage experts nationally in a process of defining standards and compiling specific strategies for conducting high-quality wraparound.

National Wraparound Initiative Advisors Meeting

The National Wraparound Initiative held its fifth annual meeting of advisors in Nashville, Tennessee, July 15-16. The meeting gave nearly 100 participants a chance to review progress over the past year, celebrate exciting accomplishments (such as completion of the Resource Guide to Wraparound), network with one another, and convene in work groups to plan for the future.

To review updated information from the NWI’s current work groups, go to “About the NWI” and select Work Groups. At the work group page, you can review current and past work plans, review current group membership, and even send an email to a group’s listserv.
