The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry also maintains a glossary of brief definitions which was developed to help teenagers, parents, teachers, and others learn more about the major mental illnesses, symptoms, and mental health issues which affect teenagers.
Similarly, the Center for Mental Health Services maintains a glossary containing terms used frequently when dealing with the mental health needs of children.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has a mental health dictionary that contains links to further information.

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) Test Collection is an online searchable database containing descriptions of over 25,000 tests and research instruments.
The Buros Institute of Mental Measurements provides access to mental health assessments and assessment reviews.
The National Center for Health Statistics provides a searchable catalog of mental health measures with links to related tools.
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network's Measure Review Database contains information on various child mental health measures, including how the measure is used and where copies can be obtained.

This glossary of terms frequently found in evaluation documents is produced by the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Center for Program Evaluation (CPE). The CPE also created a Guide to Program Evaluation, from planning data collection to analyzing the results.
User-friendly resources on statistical terminology and concepts
A somewhat advanced but accessible guide to statistics is maintained by Sportscience, a peer-reviewed journal for sports research.
The Animated Software Company has an online statistics glossary.
Statistics every writer should know -- a "plain English" introduction to basic statistical terms and concepts.
The Math League has a series of web pages containing descriptions and examples of data presented in various graphical formats, as well as definitions of basic statistical concepts including mean, median and mode.
A very accessible "interactive exhibit" dealing primarily with the statistical concepts behind polling, but on the way touching on issues of sampling and confidence intervals.
